The µ-Ziq rarities date back as far as 1982
Planet Mu boss Mike Paradinas (AKA µ-Ziq) has posted a wealth of unheard material to his Soundcloud page.
Six days ago, he began the AFX-style onslaught with Life In Style, a 1982 full-length made in collaboration with Caspar Cox as Short Circuit. The Quietus reports Paradinas provided a note along with the LP saying that it was "recorded (badly) in early 1982 in Richmond Rd." Since then, he's gone on to post a remix of Aphex Twin's "Analogue Bubblebath," a 1991 demo for R&S Records and a remix of Reload's "Biosphere," among many other unheard tracks.
In 2013, Paradinas released the archival Somerset Avenue Tracks (1992-1995) to commemorate his label's 20th anniversary and 300th release. Eagle-eyed readers might also remember it was Pardinas who identified January's Soundcloud dump of Aphex Twin demos as the genuine article.
